Mechanical Heavy Fuel Treatment Systems

  • Converts approximately 80% of asphaltene agglomerations into useable fuel
  • Improves fuel consumption efficiency by at least 2%
  • Reduces NOx emissions by up to 15% and particulates by up to 90%

Our proprietary Heavy Fuel Treatment and micro de-agglomeration System were developed and successfully tested in large heavy fuel marine diesel engines over a number of years. Production units are now ready for distribution.  It produces fuel micronisation to a 3 micron consistency.  This enhances engine efficiency and reduces NOx and particulate emissions as asphaltenes are fully combusted.  Enhanced separator effectiveness and the cleaner, more efficient fuel combustion reduces engine maintenance costs.  Reprocessing asphaltene agglomerations for useable fuel improves fuel efficiency and reduces sludge disposal costs and logistics.  Based on tried and true engineering concepts, the proprietary and innovative design produces unmatched economic benefits

Products

After seven years of development and successful onboard operations, we are pleased to present the FWT Schulz Proprietary Heavy Fuel Treatment and Asphaltene Micro De-Agglomeration Processing Systems, which materially improves the efficiency and economics of heavy fuel fired engines in multiple distinct benefit areas:

Reprocessing asphaltene agglomerations into useable fuel

Improves fuel efficiency, reduces asphaltenes, decreases particulates & NOx & improves MEP

Water injection improves fuel efficiency, reduces asphaltenes, decreases particulates  and NOx  and improves MEP

Advantages

PARTICULATE REDUCTION OF UP TO 90%

Heavy fuel is processded to three microns by the FWT  Schulz system creates more efficient, complete combustion and reduces stack particulate emissions

REDUCTION OF UP TO 15% NOX EMISSIONS

The enhanced combustion efficiency created by the FWT  Schulz system IMPROVER or INJECTOR reduces NOx emissions by 15%

REPROCESSING UP TO 80%

of asphaltene agglomerations and converting them into useable fuel.  Vessels fitted with the FWT Schulz system REDUCER have secured ‘Low Sludge Producing Vessel’ designation by MARPOL/IMO expediting in-port processing

IMPROVMENT IN FUEL CONSUMPTION OF UP TO 7%

Reduces fuel droplet size increasing surface area for oxygenation, improving combustion efficiency and has shown to improve fuel consumption efficiency by at least 2% and often significantly more [up to 7% in trials] when combined with the FWT SCHULZ REDUCER

MAINTENANCE COST REDUCTION OF UP TO 25%

Improved combustion efficiency created by the FWT  Schulz system IMPROVER or INJECTOR keeps the engine cleaner, reduces filter expenses, overall maintenance and overhaul expenses by up to 25%

Applications

Our FWT Schulz process uses a unique proprietary mechanical solution in concert with custom Siemens control systems.

This a significant leap forward in performance and efficiency over our earlier, efficient, robust  and proven technologies makes the FWT Schulz system suitable for virtually any HFO usage application.
